Solo Selfie is an augmented mobile app for Android and iOS, part of TIPIT project. This was a first of it’s kind app featuring unique video and photo editing with special effects. At Boost Solutions, we have developed TIPIT’s website, mobile app, and the video processing algorithm itself.

No matter how many projects we will have done, TIPIT will always be one of the most interesting ones. Augmented reality for mobile, their Solo Selfie mobile app for Android and iOS was indeed one of the first of its kind, featuring unique video and photo editing with special effects.

Main challenges
The hardest part of the project was to make the frames counted properly within the mobile app. System media player caused desyncing of frames due to random frame drop-outs. Decoding was done with the help of OpenCV.
